Veterinary Laser Therapy
At Harbor Point Animal Hospital, we use a therapeutic laser to help treat medical conditions where pain and inflammation are present.
Veterinary Laser Therapy
Why Treat with Laser Therapy?
Laser therapy provides you with a versatile, technician-driven tool that is a trustworthy adjunct to existing treatments – and can generate clinical victories on hard-to-treat conditions where pain and inflammation are present.
Treatments are non-invasive, drug and surgery-free, and can be administered in 1-10 minutes. Clients enjoy being involved with their pet’s treatment as they see their loved one quickly relax as their pain is soothed away.
Is it right for my pet?
As veterinary medicine modernizes, so should the options for therapy.
Harbor Point could not be happier about this new form of therapy. To find out if it’s right for your loved one, contact our customer service team to speak with a member of our medical staff or to schedule an evaluation with one of our doctors.
How does it work?
As veterinary medicine modernizes, so should the options for therapy.
Laser or Photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy results are achieved when a sufficient dose of light energy reaches target tissue and results in decreased inflammation, decreased pain, and accelerated healing.
As you can see charted above, therapeutic lasers can be used to reduce pain and inflammation caused by anything from gastrointestinal issues to alleviating the burdens of aging for our geriatric patients.
